Dutch Mammals part 1 by Avanii Dutch Mammals part 1 by Avanii
*EDIT* and the winner is... *Tzyoku! the animals are, from left to right:
Beech Marten (Martes foina); Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes)
Eurasian River Otter (Lutra lutra); Pine Marten (Martes martes)
European Badger (Meles meles) ; Least Weasel (Mustela nivalis)
Ermine/ Stoat (Mustela erminea); European Polecat (Mustela putorius)

next upload will be a trade, I promise...

I've been wanting to do this for quite a while and I finally got motivated to do it. These are the mammal predators you can find in the Netherlands (I didn't include the seals). Let's see if you know all of them ;) the first one who tells me in a comment which animals are drawn here (English and Latin names) will get a headshot request in the style I used here ;)) Good luck :D

art is © to me
please don't use this, thank you.

I've know these animals since i was 6. I know the latin names, habits an anatomy from the dutch predators (birds an reptiles included). You forgot to include the wildcat, Felis silvestris. But i love the way you draw the heads of the Mustiledea!

Yes, me too, I love them :) Though, as far as I know, the wildcat doesn't live in the Netherlands anymore.

We got five of them... And possibly a german wolf who has crossed the border for a brief moment.

Really? I did not know. I did hear about the wolf on the news, not sure if it'll stay here, though I think it would be nice :)

The forests are not big enough for a whole pack but since a while a group of younger ones went closer and closer to the border. They were expected in march 2012 but they can enter at any moment. There are enough deers to feed them for now but it isn't sure how this will go since it's a long line. Not really a big forest so it's to close to humans. They probably will visit only a few weeks at the time and will regularly retreat to Germany. Or just hang around the borders for years.

Wow, they look great, you have a beautiful gallery, and I am a sucker for these sorts of charts XD.

The quality of the art is awesome.
