Happy New Year!

A little New Years eve artwork of Tobikuma the raccoon dog He's surrounded by traditional Dutch New Years eve bakeries: oliebollen and appelflappen (literally translated as 'oil balls' ahaha, sounds tasty riiiight?) Oliebollen are dough balls, usually fried with raisins. The apple disks have a hole in them and are simply apple slices dipped in sugar and cinnamon, then in a similar dough as the oliebollen are made of, then quickly fried. You should eat them with powdered sugar for the best result! We spent the morning baking them and I felt inspired to draw Tobi, the little glutton, surrounded by them. They're actually not my favourite foods at all, but I eat them once a year so they are kind of special
