Plushie Commission: Summer Stoat

A commissioned plush stoat in summer coat for an Etsy customer (as a gift for his girlfriend, I just love it when people get custom gifts for their loved ones like this, I think it's very sweet )! I was asked to use the pattern of Finnian the ermine, but make it brown-and-white instead. I had actually already planned to make one this spring, so that was a nice coincidence and a motivator to go through with the idea. This stoat plush measures 18 cm (7 inch) from forehead to feet and is made of high quality Schulte faux fur, with minky for the soles of the feet and inner ears. The tail is wired, the eyes are of black glass and the nose, mouth, and toes are hand embroidered. I added Copic shading to several areas on the face for extra details. Its bum is stuffed with steel pellets to keep it sitting upright without problem, the rest is polyester fibrefill.

This plush is also the first one not to get a name upon completion, as it is an animal commission and I was not provided with a name, nor asked to come up with one. It feels kind of strange, though, to have a nameless creation (hence, its working name was 'Summer', or "Summer Stoat).
