Another way overdue plushie! As you can tell by the flowers, this girl was finished in time for Easter, but for some reason I never uploaded her photos, sorry Hazel! This bunny rabbit has a similar build-up as the traditional teddy bears, with a moveable head and limbs. I love the way her body and legs came out, but the head is not rabbit-like enough for me. I will have to work on that. She's still cute though, and especially the cream fur is very, very soft! The inside of her ears and the soles on her feet are made of short-piled mohair. The green ribbon I bought on the marketplace, there are so many lovely ribbons being sold there!
I tried to colour her muzzle white with pastels, but they rubbed off way too easily, while I know some plush artists use pastels to tone their work. I wonder how they do it?
As for her size: 18 cm (7 inch) from head to butt, standing upright she's 22 cm (8 inch) tall, making her the biggest teddy I've made so far.
Materials: soft faux furs for the body, with mohair for the soles and ears. A semi-transparent ribbon, embroidery thread, fibrefill stuffing and plastic pellets in the feet, so she can stand by herself. Finally two brown glass eyes.
