Plushie: Mortimer the Garden Dormouse (OC)

Hee hee, I think we all saw that coming ! I made this when I was still in the Netherlands, so I think in September, probably? Yeah. Mo here is one of my favourite characters and I've wanted to plushify him for a long time. And then I suddenly noticed I already had the perfect fabrics: they are silky soft (the very softest I have!), long piled and incredibly cuddly! Due to the length of the hairs I had to make him big, not that I minded that, haha! Mortimer is somewhere around 40 cm nose to butt I think, maybe bigger, with an equally long tail. His paws are made of minky and the insides of his ears are faux suede, with painted accents. I painted on his black markings as I had no fabric that matched the other two. His eyes are glass, and I wish they were a bit more yellow, but they work! His nose, mouth and toes are embroidered on. He is softly stuffed, not entirely floppy but heavy and perfect for hugging! The tail is wired so it can be posed. I miss having him around, haha. There was no way I could take him to the UK with me, he'd fill up half my suitcase! Unfortunately the photos really don't do him justice, especially the brown fur has so much detail and different colour on each hair, I wish that was captured better!
