Through the Mist

"I can hear the footsteps behind me. They are closing in, they are faster than I am. I cannot hide: they would find me. This ribbon, this silly red ribbon, I cannot believe it is so important. The mist, the eerie atmosphere, it is all wrong. Still, I cannot stop, I will not stop! They cannot catch me... "

Number one of my digital painting attempts! Benjamin the rat runs through a misty place, carrying a red ribbon. The story above are Ben's thoughts. Who is chasing him? What is this ribbon about? Whose is it anyway? Why is the setting wrong? What on earth is going on?! I leave that up to your imagination

This was intended as some kind of speedpaint, but my own inexperience with this sort of full background digital painting stuff made it take much longer and, eventually, more detailed than I originally intended. I am tired of working on it now, there are probably many flaws but I am too tired to fix them. I hope it's enjoyable anyway
