Hey guys,

It's been a while since my last journal. I'm sorry I haven't been very active lately. My life is pretty hectic right now as I'm trying to graduate this year (which means writing a monster thesis D: ) and aside from that regularly attend conventions to sell my work. On top of that these past 4 months have been very bad for my rats. Two passed away at a respectable age, but unfortunately with complications, and the two remaining ones are both not doing very well. Of one, I'm not sure she'll make it, in spite of the medicine and vet visits :c It's been very emotionally taxing. Doing research and writing for my thesis, preparing for and attending conventions, doing a weekly internship at a local museum, and trying to keep something resembling a social life has me stretched quite thin D: I have made a lot of new plushies for conventions and boy, the list of plushies-to-be-uploaded is way longer than I would like xD One day they'll all be on here!

Of the current commissions, two are finished and have already arrived at their new homes, and the other three are well on their way (3 plushies are almost ready for stuffing, for those who ordered a second plush: those still need to be started). This means that I will have to delay the next commission opening for at least a month (so definitely not in April). I want to get the current ones done and shipped before accepting new ones to avoid a too long wait as convention prep takes up a lot of time as well. Thank you for your patience

Convention planning
Here's a list of all the conventions I'm attending this year as a vendor.

Abunai!, 24-26 August, Netherlands (officially I was too late to grab a spot, but a friend offered to share a table, so I'll most likely still be there)

Plush Commissions are CLOSED 

Please send a note to claim a spot they will now be filled up on a first come-first served base, provided I can accept the commission

It's all the same as usual: 5 slots, 2 plushies per person max. Instead of first come, first serve, you'll have an hour to claim a spot and after that I will either accept them (if it's 5 or less) or choose the projects that appeal to me most (if there's more than 5 people). When the hour is over the remaining slots (if any) will be filled on first come, first serve basis. This should be less stressful for everyone </s>

Please make sure you get a quote (via note) before claiming a spot! Preferably before the opening day!
I am working on a price chart, but since it's not done yet here's a quick break down of the costs so you will know what to expect:
Plushies are priced based on size and complexity (roughly €7 per cm, nose to bum). Always tell me what size you want for your plush, please.
Price quotes are without accessories. Please let me know if you want accessories so I can calculate the extra cost.
Shipping is additional and always includes tracking.
  - Within The Netherlands it's €7
  - Within Europe it's €15
  - To all other countries it's €24
I can work with either faux fur, minky, or both. For characters with unnatural colours I can usually only work with minky. Please discuss this with me if your character has unnatural fur colours.
I work with both glass eyes and safety eyes, and can either embroider noses or use plastic ones. Which I can use for your plush depends on the colours needed (but in most cases you can choose!)
Since I now have an embroidery machine, minky plushies with embroidered details are now also an option to choose from. Please get in touch if you are interested in getting embroidery on your plush. I cannot embroider on faux fur.
Payment goes through Paypal invoices and is in Euros. I require at least half up front to confirm your commission. The other half can be paid after the plush is complete. Once I have started working on your plush, I cannot give a refund.

Dutch Comic Con, winter edition was amazing! I had an absolute blast and sold 15 plushies, a personal record And of course also many other things. Thanks to all who stopped by! My table for the March edition has already been booked ^^

On 18 and 19 November I will be attending Dutch Comic Con as a vendor! Come say hi at Avanii's table at AT-15 There will be many handmade plushies, soft charms, embroidered patches, stickers, and painted notebooks! The most common topics are (fantasy) animals, Pokemon, Steven Universe, and Voltron Legendary Defender this time! For the first time I will have plushies with embroidered faces I will also be accepting sketch and ink commissions It's so exciting! The March edition was a great success, so here's hoping that the winter edition goes as well. This time I can also accept card payments, instead of cash only, which should help as the artist alley is placed all the way in the back of the hall...
